Licensing & authority
Licensed by the Federal Maritime Commission in both roles.
The role changes the legal relationship. In one, we are the carrier. In the other, we act as your forwarding agent.
Acts as the carrierNVOCC
We act as the carrier to you and as the shipper to the vessel operator. Your cargo moves on a GLL Global house bill of lading under our published tariff, which means the contract of carriage — and the rate — sits with us.
Acts as your agentOcean freight forwarder
We arrange the shipment on your behalf: booking with the ocean carrier, preparing and filing the export documentation, and keeping the paperwork correct before the box is loaded rather than after it is rolled.

Origin, destination, commodity, and weight are enough to begin. We will ask for anything else the shipment needs.
