01What this covers
This policy explains what GLL Global, LLC (“GLL Global,” “we,” or “us”) does with information you send us through this website or by email when you ask for a quote or move a shipment. We handle business shipping information; we do not sell personal data.
02What we collect
We collect only what you send us. That is usually:
- Contact details — your name, company, email address, and phone number.
- Shipment details — origin and destination, commodity and HS code, weight, dimensions, container type, ready date, and any special handling requirements.
- Documents — commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates, and other paperwork you send so we can book and clear the shipment.
We do not ask for payment card numbers, bank credentials, or government identification numbers through this website.
03The quote form on this site
The quote request form on our contact page does not transmit anything to us on its own. It assembles what you type into a message and opens it in your own email program, where you review it and choose whether to send. Nothing you type reaches us — or any server — until you press send in your email client.
04How we use it
We use the information you send to:
- Prepare and send you a rate and routing.
- Book space, arrange equipment, and issue transport documents, including bills of lading.
- Make required regulatory filings, such as export declarations.
- Invoice you and keep our accounting and shipment records.
- Answer questions and follow up on shipments in progress.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it.
05Who we share it with
Moving freight requires passing shipment information to the parties who handle it. Depending on the shipment, that can include:
- Ocean carriers, terminals, and container freight stations.
- Truckers, drayage providers, and warehouses.
- Customs brokers and overseas agents.
- Government agencies, where a filing or disclosure is required — for example U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Census Bureau, or the Federal Maritime Commission.
- Insurers, where you ask us to place cargo cover.
- Our accountants, lawyers, and IT providers, under a duty of confidentiality.
We share what the task requires and nothing more. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or to establish or defend a legal claim.
06Cookies and tracking
This website does not set advertising cookies and does not use third-party tracking or profiling tools. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — including IP address, request time, and user-agent — for security and reliability. If we add website analytics later, we will update this page before doing so.
07How long we keep it
We keep shipment and transaction records for as long as the law requires us to — U.S. transportation, customs, and tax rules generally require several years — and for as long as we may need them to answer a claim. Quote requests that do not become shipments are kept only as long as they are commercially useful.
08Security
This site is served over HTTPS. We restrict access to shipment records to the people who need them and use reputable providers for email, hosting, and document storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send us information you would not want transmitted by ordinary business email.
09Your choices
Write to us at info@gllgloballlc.com to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We will do what we can, subject to the record-keeping obligations described above. If you are contacted by us and would rather not be, say so in a reply and we will stop.
10Children
This site is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
11Changes and contact
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
